Astronomicaly friend and colleague David Godwin has a long-standing passion for photography: he has taken a particular interest in astronomical photos, and produced some excellent pictures. These are particularly remarkable for having been taken with fairly simple equipment - mostly an 80mm (3.15 inch) refractor telescope and medium-priced digital SLR cameras - proving that you don't need an observatory to produce good results.
